Ello ello! I've just settled in from another night full-o-debauchery at Fast Eddy's. Gotta luv Thong Thursday. Since I'm wide awake I'd figured I'd turn the light's down low, hop on here and blog like an emo.
24 hours ago I was sitting at Denny's, watching some dude get arrested while re-capping the nights events with friends. Wednesday we had another Damn Loud Rock Show featuring Buckcherry, Shinedown, Avenged Sevenfold & Saving Abel. Good times! Hope you all enjoyed it... I thought I'd recap the night from my standpoint.
T-Rav and I rolled up in the Hummer early for and interview with Josh Todd, lead singer of Buckcherry. Allow me to say the tour bus was immaculate! Kind of surprised. It also came equipt with a nifty door leading into the cabin that T-Rav and I couldn't figure out for the life of us. Hey, it's not polite to push ranom buttons on someone's tour bus, we might have release caged midgets or other surprises not to be known by the common man. Anyhoo...

Very cool dude! T-Rav talked to him about how they got started, their influences, the tour, tattoos, traveling, etc. while I sat back trying not to sneeze and look cute while taking pics. It was cool to hear him talk about working with the greats like Aerosmith and ACDC. As we all know Josh Todd has his fair share of ink and fun fact: he likes simplicity when it come's to tattoos. Hopefully you caught the interview on-air. Also loved that beind the scenes their whole crew could be caught skateboarding or jetting around on scooters. Fun.

After the interview we hurried outside to meet up with our Roadie for a Day winner. T-Rav ended up taking him and his guest backstage while I grabbed 20 people for an impromptu meet & greet with Shinedown (thanks Chuck). Yay! Made some very cold fan's day with that one. They were the band I was really looking forward to rockin' out to that night, since I've seen all the others live before. Cool dudes...and yes ladies, they're that hot in person. Meet and greets are good fun, but I wish I had time to talk to the bands we get to meet. Yeah, it's cool adding another story to the list that I can tell my kids, when/if that time comes, but I always like to talk to people and hear their story. One of the coolest times I've had was sitting on a tour bus with a few bands talking, drinking coffee, only to find out all of them had normal crappy jobs before the band- like working at a fast-food resturaunt or laundry mat, never thinking they're ever get signed or live their dream. That's real.

After that was said and done we headed back outside to bare the cold with ya'll and blare some tunes. After b.s.'n a bit with the crew, some of you and our Atlantic Records rep we headed inside just in time to hear Saving Abel's last song while walking to gather the troops for our Buckcherry meet and greet.

I guess the guys thought they're leave some love for SMG in the form of grafitti on a table... and yes, they chose to draw a penis, with stitches none the less.
While in the Buckcherry meet and greet I missed all of Shinedown's set... kinda bummed. We headed out and caught most of Avenged Sevenfold before packing up and heading to the after-party @ Woody's with Pop Evil and Egypt Central.
I laughed, I cried, I got pushed off a chair by "corporate" and I rocked out! I met and saw Eqypt Central at the Theory of a Deadman show and they rocked a packed house again. John Falls, you're one cool dude and I love your hair! Now a fan of Pop Evil as well. Amazing on stage and in our studio. Some of the guys from Saving Abel, A7X, Shinedown and Buckcherry came out and had a few beers and rocked out after the concert as well. When the night was nearly over and I was completely wiped, Leigh Kakaty (lead singer of Pop Evil) was kind enough to sing me a song and cheer me up. Something about Bud Light and Dr. Dre... classic. Needless to say it put a smile on my face. Thanks dude!
So yeah, that's a Damn Loud Rock Show from the GBF staff point of view. All-in-all I had a blast and can't wait to get rowdy all over again!
